This photo was
taken when I was 18 years old and I bought my first car. I’d just passed my
driving test and I’d been saving up for two years so it was a really exciting
day. The car was second-hand and didn’t have any high-tech gadgets, but I was
very proud of it and I used to drive my friends and family around everywhere.
One summer, we spent a whole month on the road. We took the tent with us, and
drove wherever we liked – to national parks, mountains, forests, beaches ... it
was fantastic! Although the car was old, it was really reliable and hardly ever
broke down. Unfortunately, four years later another car crashed into me while I
was driving and my car was so badly damaged that it couldn’t be repaired. Luckily, I wasn’t hurt, but I was
really upset about the car and I still have fond memories of it today.
